I'm sorry I haven't responded to individual posts like I normally do. I'm totally sleep deprived, frantically hemming my new pants last minute (only short people know what I'm going through, nothing fits!).

Glad you got it - hope the new boss isn't a total asshat. I don't know how long it should take to be trained but if he doesn't talk to you after you've been there a month - about how you're getting on and when he's increasing your wages, I'd approach him about it. Especially if you know you're doing well - push him on the promised pay. (In March, the minimum wage here goes up to $10.50)
wow, that would be way better for min wage. I don't even know what it is here...but I'd be willing to bet it's not even eight. I respect your advice though, Jeannie. You guys own a business, right?
