A good book, a good smoke and a good sandwich. It's hard to justify complaining about a night which contains those three items. But I can probably manage to complain a little anyhow. I'll squeeze a tiny complaint or two out for my loyal readers who, because I miss them so much, must miss me.
It seems like it's been forever since I've been able to find a computer with Internet access at the same moment as I have had time to blog.
I can always bitch about the rain. That's fair game, right?

The rain is always fair game. We've gotten more than our damn share here in Buttfuck, Ohio, of late.

Sending love,

Tonight's weather in NOLA is humid sunny and 90 degrees until early evening when rain, possibly heavy at time, leading to local street flooding, is expected.
Temperatures will drop to the 60's in about 5 minutes.
You have to leave the house almost naked, but bring a sweater since you will be walking (I do not have a car) in damp, cool weather with winds coming off the river.

Stupid rain.

;)

Just trying to help you out! LOL

The rain is good if it is autumn. (Or "Fall" as you probably call it.) And you are inside. Preferably in a large Victorian double-fronted house with flagstoned hallway, stained glass around the front door. Lots of ferns in pots in cold passageways. Dark and gloomy spacious rooms with secret cupboards in unlikely places... An attick and a cellar and hidden basement rooms. A stone-cold kitchen with coal-fuelled range... And an extraordinarily leafy and abundant back garden with classical statues and an ornate birdbath that you can watch this rain splashing down on...

(Without going into billionaire-type fantasies I just kind of described to you my ideal house.)

Complain away if that's all there is.

Thanks you guys. It's always awesome to be given permission to complain. I wish I were where you are Lisa, sounds good.

Gleds - I would sit in that house watching the rain every day, all day. I love, love, love Victorian houses, ferns, stained-glass, and classical statues. Sounds lovely to me...
