This is me, a few weeks ago with all my hair and then recently with it gone. I think it looks pretty cool considering I cut it myself and took the pitures from, like, a foot and a half in front of my face. My plan is to just grow it out. Luckily, my hair grows rather quickly.

I cut my hair because it was long and straggly and I'm 38 and on 38 year old men long hair starts looking distinctly dodgy. I know some can carry it off but it wasn't even a style I liked anymore. Just there by default type of thing... anyway I hacked it off. Half way through I looked in the mirror and saw a lesbian fashion model staring back (was I on drugs? Cannot remember...) the final result did look a bit like a mental patient with a pair of shears had been let loose on my locks ~~ oh but it was so much better than before!!
As you say, whatever you do with hair, you always have the consolation that it will grow back.
Gled - Thanks. I like it too. But I feel ya on the halfway through thing. I totally freaked but I had started from the top so I had a dreadie mullet - very bad. No choice but to finish the job. It feels great. I agree that as we start to get older the long hair does look dodgy - perfect word for it. I just want to blend in more. You know?
